Yongjin Chung, originally trained in metal making experiments with the latest techniques following the trend of today. He designs his pieces through experimentations using paper cut-outs. The object that he makes is then rendered on the computer. This is then processed to be laser cut and then welded applying modern advanced techniques.
Chung shows how delicate pieces can be made using today’s 3D printing methods by rendering on the computer using CAD.
His work is in the collection of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Korea; Gallery VOGOZE; and Pribe Annex Gallery in the USA.
