Hyewook Huh’s work is an interpretation of her environment, as well as of the “emotional ups and downs that humans feel within their environment.” She uses a variety of glassmaking techniques, from blowing to kiln-casting. In her kiln-cast work, she uses visual effects to explore positives and negatives reflected shapes.
Over the years, Huh has experimented with hot casting through many residencies abroad. Her work has been exhibited at SOFA Chicago and SOFA New York, as well as other exhibitions throughout the United States and Asia.
She has won many awards around the world and her work is in the collection of the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art Korea.
